Due to our continued growth, and the development of the Live Division we are now looking for a Compliance Officer to join our Resource & Logistics teams. Responsible for making sure that the business is fully compliant with regards to its legal and regulatory obligations within the resource and logistics operation, the Compliance Officer will act as a subject matter expert within the management team, ensuring that the business’ processes and policies are effective in relation to transport and logistics legislation.
With demonstrable experience in a fast paced transportation and logistics environment, the successful candidate will have the ability to interact with different level of stake holder in an appropriate and professional manner whilst maintaining high levels of attention to detail.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring full compliance across the entire fleet of ADI vehicles with all applicable UK and European legislation and regulations, as well as ensuring fleet compliance by regularly monitoring and where necessary, challenging, all safety inspections, MOT’s services, maintenance and defect reports – following up on actionable items and raising non-compliance in a timely and professional manner.
The post holder will also play in active role in tracking and scrutinising driver hours and other working time legislation, as well as overseeing driver medical records, licence checks and regulatory training needs.
To be successful in this role you will have a strong track record of working within Transport and Logistics, ideally in a Compliance Management or Transport Management role, as well as excellent knowledge of all Transport-related legislation and regulations across the UK and EU.
Together with knowledge of relevant environmental and safety laws and regulations, you will have a CPC in national Road haulage, strong IT skills (particularly in Excel) and the ability to professionally challenge others, asking questions and critiquing business’ process to ensure the business remains protected.
