Estimator Civils & Water Infrastructure Location: Coalisland, Co. Tyrone Sector: Civil Engineering Water Infrastructure Type: Full-Time - Permanent The Opportunity A well-established, award-winning contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing civils team in Co. Tyrone. Specialising in water and wastewater infrastructure, public realm works, and utilities across NI and the UK, this organisation is built on collaboration, sustainability, and operational excellence. This is a unique opportunity to shape early project design through value engineering and commercial input, working alongside Framework and Commercial Managers. Key Responsibilities Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for civil infrastructure projects Contribute to Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) with value-focused design input Perform quantity take-offs from design drawings and specifications Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to obtain accurate pricing Analyse project risks and incorporate contingencies Conduct market research on materials and labour trends Support tender submissions and bid strategies Collaborate in developing project budgets aligned with client goals Maintain estimation records and generate cost reports Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards Requirements Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management Minimum 3 years' experience in estimating within water or civil infrastructure Strong technical understanding of drawings, specifications, and civils methodologies Proficient in Bluebeam, CostX or similar estimating tools Excellent communication, teamwork, and negotiation abilities Thorough and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities Whats on Offer Competitive salary with bonus structure Company vehicle & fuel card or car allowance Private medical insurance & life assurance Employee assistance programme and enhanced family leave Flexible/hybrid working available (Full or Part-Time hours) Career development, CPD support and training opportunities Additional holidays, service awards, and team events Skills: Estimating Construction Civils
