Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Health Care Support Worker to join our fantastic team on the Children's Ward.

If you're motivated, compassionate, and passionate about supporting children, young people and their families, this could be the perfect role for you. You'll be part of a proactive, friendly and dedicated paediatric team where no two days are the same. If you enjoy a challenge, love learning and want to make a real difference, we would love to hear from you.

Shifts follow the standard ward pattern, offering a varied and rewarding working environment.

As part of our commitment to your development, you will be fully supported to build your skills and knowledge within the clinical setting. You'll also have access to training through the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). The Children's Ward actively supports career progression, and you may have the opportunity to be considered for the Trainee Nursing Associate (TNA) programme.

Main duties of the job

As aHealth Care Support Workeryou will help patients feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible.You'll work under the guidance of a healthcare professional such as a nurse and your job will vary depending on the ward you are based, but overall a typical day as aHealth Care Support Worker in this rolewill involve:

* Recording of observations
* Contribute to patient assessments
* Provide care for children, young people and families attending the ward/day surgery

This is a busy and varied position where teamwork is essential. Youll help balance a range of tasks that can change throughout the day, ensuring our patients and their families feel supported and safe. Your daily duties may include:
