Technical Administration Assistant

Working hours Full time 37 hours per week (flexible working arrangements including part time will be considered)

Permanent

Salary up to £31,748 per year (depending on experience)

Location hybrid working with office location at Howdon, North Tyneside

About the role

We’re looking for a Technical Administration Assistant to join our busy Maintenance Compliance Team. This role will provide technical administrative support, coordination and record keeping for our various regulatory requirements across our Northumbrian Water and Essex and Suffolk Water sites.

You will be responsible for setting up files and documentation and managing the collection and storage of data in line with associated inspections and tests carried out. You will also manage relevant retention schedules of data held on our systems.

You will liaise with Maintenance Schedulers, Contractors and Suppliers to ensure timely planning of regulatory checks, maintaining compliance across several regulations.

About you

The successful candidate will be capable of analysing and interpreting data to a high standard ensuing that there is always a strong focus on quality.

You’ll have excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, enabling you to use & analyse reports and liaise with stakeholders effectively.

You’ll be an excellent team player with a great focus on helping the team to deliver real business results.

The ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload to meet deadlines, in a fast-moving, reactive environment, is essential for this role.

You will have good office computer skills which include a good understanding of Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of Maximo would be beneficial however full training is provided.

This role has also been defined as a safety or security critical role and as a condition of a formal offer of employment you’ll be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test.

Prospective employees and agency workers in defined safety and security critical roles will be required to undertake a drug and alcohol test after the job offer has been made. This will be prior to or within four weeks of their start date.

Prospective employees and agency workers who fail a pre-employment urine drug screen will have their sample analysed by the Company appointed laboratory as a matter of course. Failing a pre-employment drugs or alcohol test may lead to the job offer being revoked.
