Management Accountant
Location: Liverpool City CentreSalary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum + benefitsWork Pattern: Monday - Friday 08.30am - 17.00pmJob Type: Full-time, Permanent
Reed are currently working with a family-owned retailer to support them in the recruitment for an experienced Management Accountant to join their dynamic Finance function. Reporting directly into the Financial Controller, this person will be responsible for supporting the strategy of the organisation moving forward as well as contributing to the overall finance team.
Job Responsibilities
* Management Accounts:
o Prepare accurate monthly management accounts schedules.
o Provide insightful analysis and commentary for Directors and Senior Management to support decision-making and company growth strategies.
o Develop and refine management accounts and key metrics to identify trends and indicators.
o Ensure transactions are accurately coded for both internal and external reporting and compliance.
* Stock and Other Accounting:
o Manage accounting for the company’s stock, ensuring accurate representation in the general ledger and reconciliation with underlying records.
o Ensure compliance with company accounting conventions and applicable standards for allocated P&L and balance sheet accounts.
* Budgeting:
o Lead the preparation and communication of company budgets, forecasts, and targets.
* Business Partnering:
o Act as a business partner to department heads and showroom managers, aiding in strategy execution and target achievement, with a focus on cost control.
* Processes and Systems:
o Drive improvements in business processes and systems efficiency.
o Lead initiatives to introduce advanced tools, including AI, for better reporting and analysis.
The ideal candidate will be:
* Excellent pedigree in Management Accounts / Business Partnering based roles
* CIMA / ACA / ACCA Qualified
* Exceptional time management skills, capable of balancing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
* Meticulous attention to detail, reflecting the standards of a luxury retailer.
* Advanced Excel and reporting tool skills.
* First-class communication skills, able to effectively engage with all levels within the company and across different specialisms.
