Service: Safe Haven Contract: Permanent Hours: 28 hours per week 4 shifts (working evenings on a rota basis 4pm-11.30pm) Salary: £18,900 to £20,360.54 (£24,975 to 26,905 full-time equivalent) - Solent Mind Band B (plus enhanced for unsocial hours) Closing Date: Sunday 7 December 2025 (11.59pm) Interview Date : week commencing Monday 15 December 2025 About the role As a Peer Support Worker, you will use your skills and experience to work directly with people with mental health issues in group and one to one settings. You will support and encourage participants to identify their own strengths, triggers and life goals and co-produce individualised plans to help achieve them. Any offer for this role will be subject to a Enhanced Adult Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) About you You will need to have personal, lived experience of a mental health issue, as well as experience of working with people with mental health needs, excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of the key difficulties and challenges faced by people on their recovery journey. About us Solent Mind is the largest mental health charity in Hampshire. It is part of a network of 125 local Minds in England and Wales, which are independent charities affiliated to Mind, the national mental health charity. Solent Mind has its own Board of Trustees and raises its own funds to deliver its services, support and training tailored to the needs of people living in Hampshire, Southampton, Portsmouth, and the Isle of Wight. Solent Mind has a Gold award for Workplace Wellbeing Index 2022/2023 and has signed up to be a Mindful Employer.
