Sales Engineer (Solutions Specialist)
Up to £50,000, Hybrid, City of London
A hybrid opportunity for a Sales Engineer (Solutions Specialist) to support presales and solution consultants across networking, SD-WAN and cybersecurity. You'll be involved throughout the deal lifecycle, from technical qualification to customer demos and solution handover.
This role combines hands-on technical design with client interaction, ideal for someone confident in switching, routing, and security protocols who can also present to non-technical audiences.
Essential experience:
* L2–L4 networking: TCP/IP, switching, OSPF, BGP, VRRP
* Security: stateful firewalls, UTM, IPSec, SIEM, SOC
* Strong communication, presentation, and technical documentation skills
* Experience in customer-facing solution design and demos
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure
* CCNA or equivalent certification
* Post-grad experience in technical customer engagement
* SC Clearance eligibility
Desirable:
* Experience across multiple pillars: Networking, Cloud, Security, or UC
* Familiarity with SD-WAN, SASE, cloud architecture or Unified Comms
* Past or current technical certifications beyond CCNA
* Willingness to travel for customer meetings and demos
