Preci-Spark is looking to recruit for this role to join our existing team at our Coalville Facility, a fast-paced, target-driven precision engineering environment.
Preci-Spark is recruiting a highly experienced and driven CNC Machinist / CAM Programmer to join our cutting-edge facility in Coalville, Leicestershire. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for a machinist with a strong background in 5-axis mill/turn machining, toolmaking, and CAM programming — ready to excel in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Set, operate, and program a wide variety of CNC machines — primarily Mazak and Mori-Seiki
* Set, operate and program WEDM machines – primarily Sodik
* Work extensively on 5-axis mill/turn machining centres
* Develop efficient CAM programs for high-precision components
* Manufacture bespoke tooling, jigs, and fixtures
* Meet quality and delivery targets in a fast-moving production setting
* Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment
* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve machining challenges and improve processes
* Upon a successful interview, Preci Spark’s application process requests that a basic criminal record may be carried out.
Essential Requirements:
* Minimum 10 years’ CNC machining experience, including significant hands-on work with 5-axis mill/turn machining
* Minimum 5 years’ CAM programming experience (Siemens NX preferred, or Fusion 360, Mastercam, Edgecam)
* Minimum 5 Years of multi axis EDM/WEDM experience.
* Proven toolmaking experience – including design and manufacture of fixtures and jigs
* Ability to program, set, and operate CNC machines independently from engineering drawings and 3D models
* Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerancing, materials, and tooling
* Health, Safety and Environment compliance.
* Experience working in a fast-paced, target-driven production environment
Preferred Experience:
* CAM programming using Siemens NX
* Experience with Mazatrol, Fanuc, and Heidenhain control systems
* Background in high-spec industries such as aerospace, defence, or medical
* Skilled in CMM use and high-accuracy measuring equipment
* Familiar with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
