As a KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant for Autism, you'll work closely with our exceptional teaching staff to provide tailored support, foster inclusivity, and promote independence among our students with autism!
Unlock Your Potential:
1. Pupil Support: Ensure student safety, deliver personalized assistance, and promote self-esteem and independence. Implement individual education plans and support personal care programmes specific to students with autism.
2. Curriculum Support: Assist with learning activities tailored to the needs of students with autism, prepare resources, and utilize sensory-friendly teaching methods to enhance learning experiences.
3. School Support: Uphold school policies, contribute to the school ethos, and engage in training and development activities specific to supporting students with autism. Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to provide comprehensive support.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
4. Previous experience working with students with autism or relevant strengths.
5. Strong understanding of autism and its impact on learning and behavior.
6. ️ Emotional intelligence, patience, and a calm demeanor when supporting students with autism.
7. ️ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with students and collaborate with colleagues.
8. Awareness of sensory needs and strategies to support students with autism in a classroom setting.
