Job Summary Looking to recruit a permanent GP to join our team ideally on 20th August or as close as possible. 5 sessions per week (preferred all day Monday and Thursday and Wednesday afternoon). Priority will be given to applications that can satisfy this format.
Main duties of the job
Provide high quality patient care
Carry out surgery, telephone and video consultations and undertake home visits
Liaise with other team members and organisations involved in patient care and respond promptly to queries
Investigate and refer patients as appropriate in line with current guidance
Deal promptly with results and correspondence
Provide cover as required when other GPs are on leave
Collect data for audit and QOF purposes
Maintain excellent communication with patients and carers
Attend clinical, governance and educational meetings
Strong team player
Collaborate closely with partners and all team members
Effectively manage own time, workload and resources
Attend required training events e.g. Practice Learning Events and feedback
Report significant incidents involving the practice

We undertake regular training so we are always learning and developing as a team. We work closely with 9 other practices in our East and Central Primary Care Network.
Qualifications Essential
Vocational trained and accredited GP, preferably MRCGP, with current registration with the GMC
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team
Ability to work with limited supervision
IT proficiency and familiarity with primary care clinical systems (the practice uses EMIS)
Excellent time keeping
Exceptional team player
Desirable
Good understanding of GMS contracting requirements and QOF
Experience and interest in a specific disease area
