About the Role
As a Team Manager in the Children’s Safeguarding Service, you’ll lead a team of experienced Social Workers delivering statutory services to children subject to child protection and child in need plans. Your role will be central in overseeing quality frontline practice, managing complex risk, and ensuring that children are safeguarded through timely and effective interventions.
You will:

Provide day to day operational leadership and supervision

Oversee risk management, permanence planning, and threshold decisions
*
Drive good practice through reflective supervision and case auditing
*
Collaborate closely with early help, health, education, and police partners
*
Support your team to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and families across Lambeth
This is a key leadership role for those passionate about safeguarding children and raising practice standards.
About You
*
A Recognised Social Work Qualification and SWE registration
*
Extensive experience working in Child Protection / Safeguarding settings
*
Confidence in supervising staff, leading complex strategy discussions, and managing performance
*
A solid understanding of statutory frameworks, thresholds, and permanence planning
*
Resilience, reflective leadership, and the ability to model best practice in challenging situations
