Havenis currently seeking a Financial Crime Manager.
Inthis role, you will report to the Group Compliance Lead and support the MLRO.As a member of our focused and results-driven Regulatory Compliance team, youwill be responsible for driving and integrating processes and controls toprevent and detect financial crime risks.
As akey part of the second line of defence, you will proactively assist internalstakeholders and collaborate closely with first-line defence functions. Yourrole will involve providing timely and robust guidance, support, and oversightwhile instilling a culture of financial crime prevention through clearpolicies, risk assessment, mitigation, and training. You will identifyopportunities for collaboration with internal stakeholders and implementprocess changes to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements.
Thisis a full-time, permanent position located at our Head Office in HemelHempstead, with three days per week onsite and the remaining days workingremotely.
Your Opportunity:
To learn, develop and become an expert in a key area of the business by:
- Developing and implementing an effective financial crime prevention framework across the BLL Group, encompassing policies, processes, and training. This involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify overarching business and functional obligations, risks, and controls.
- Sustaining the financial crime prevention framework by proactively identifying and evaluating emerging risks, regulatory obligations, and business needs.
- Actively collaborate with first-line defence teams to establish and integrate processes and controls that align with financial crime regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Offering risk-based advice and guidance on financial crime matters to internal stakeholders, fostering a culture of risk awareness, assessment, mitigation, and necessary process improvements to meet regulatory obligations.
- Serving as the primary contact for first-line defence teams in Caravan Sales, addressing sanctions check referrals and KYC/CDD onboarding queries within agreed SLAs.
- Supporting Procurement in implementing an appropriate CDD/EDD approach to facilitate vendor onboarding in line with financial crime regulatory standards and company policy.
- Cultivating and enhancing comprehensive knowledge of UK regulatory mandates, including Money Laundering Regulations, JMLSG, and FCA Rules.
- Fostering positive working relationships with internal stakeholders, promoting open communication, collaboration, and best practice sharing.
- Managing the submission of Suspicious Activity Reports to the NCA and oversee any ensuing actions.
- Establishing and maintaining appropriate reporting mechanisms, including KPIs and processes, to identify and analyse the impact of new and emerging legislative/regulatory financial crime risks.

- Strong understanding of all the functions impacted by financial crime legislation + how they are impacted to ensure appropriate advice, processes & controls.
- Strong understanding of BLL’s regulated activities and the functions impacted to ensure specific risks are identified, understood and mitigated.

- Strong knowledge of Financial Crime legislation
- Knowledge of consumer credit legislation and BLL’s regulated activities
