Our client is a long-established, highly respected agricultural supplier supporting farmers across the East of England with trusted expertise, strong technical capability and a reputation built on service, integrity and results. As they continue to grow, we are seeking a Fertiliser Manager to lead and develop their fertiliser division at an exciting time for the business and the wider crop nutrition sector.
The Role
As Fertiliser Manager, you will take ownership of the fertiliser portfolio, ensuring growers receive the right products, the right advice and the right support to optimise yield, efficiency and profitability. This is a hands-on, relationship-led role requiring both commercial strength and technical understanding.
You will be responsible for:
1. Managing and developing the fertiliser range and supplier relationships
2. Providing technical advice and tailored recommendations to growers
3. Driving sales performance and margin growth across the fertiliser category
4. Forecasting, stock planning and pricing strategy
5. Supporting and training the wider agronomy and sales teams
6. Ensuring compliance, traceability and product stewardship standards
7. Identifying new opportunities and emerging technologies in plant nutrition
The Candidate
We are looking for someone who brings:
8. Strong knowledge of fertiliser products, crop nutrition and wider agronomy
9. Commercial awareness and confidence in managing category performance
10. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build long-term relationships
11. A proactive, organised and hands-on approach
12. FACTS & BASIS qualification (preferred) or willingness to work towards it
13. A genuine passion for supporting growers and improving farm performance
This role would suit an experienced fertiliser specialist, a commercial agronomist looking to specialise, or an agricultural professional with solid product knowledge and a commercial mindset.
