WearecurrentlyrecruitingforaSolicitor–CorporateandCommercialtojoinourclientbasedintheirDevizesofficeandsometimesintheirLondonoffice.
SpecificRolesandResponsibilities:
* Thesuccessfulcandidatewillperformcorporateandcommercialwork,encompassingthefollowingcoreareas:
* Saleandpurchaseofbusinesses(bothassetsandsharestransactions)
* Companystructuresandgroupre-structuring
* Partnershipandshareholders’agreements
* Commercialcontracts;and
* Corporategovernanceandadministration
* Toprovidesupport,whenrequired,regardingotherareasofcommercialworktothewiderfirm.
* Buildingonpersonalandteamprofilebyattendingnetworkingevents,producingarticlesandmarketingmaterials.
* Developingunderstandingofcommercialandcorporatelawandassistingwithlaw,policyandpracticeupdatesfortheteam.
* Tocarry-outanyotherdutiesandresponsibilitiesthatmayberequiredbytheHeadofDepartment.
ClientDevelopmentandMarketing:
* Tobeactiveinmarketingtheservicesofthefirmandthespecificteam,itsimageandethos(inliaisonwithHeadofDepartmentandotherpartners).
PersonSpecification:
Experienceandknowledge:
* Approx.2+yearsPQEincorporateandcommercialmattersatregionalorCityofficelevel.
* Anenthusiasmtocontributetothevaluesandethosofthefirmandthecommunityinwhichitworks.
* Independenceofthoughtandadesiretobringexperience,knowledgeandideastothewiderteam.
* Experienceofdraftingcorporateandcommercialdocumentation.
* Excellentwrittenandverbalcommunicationskills.
* Commerciality/businessacumen.
* Acommitmenttoequality,diversityandinclusion.
ProfessionalQualifications:
* AdmissionasaSolicitorentitledtopracticeinEngland&Wales.
* Currentpractisingcertificate(orentitlementtoobtainone)fromtheLawSociety.
