About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quality andpliance Officer to join Birmingham City Council’s Bereavement, Registration and Mortuary Services team within the Regulation and Enforcement Division. This is a key role focused on ensuringpliance with statutory requirements, driving quality improvements, and delivering projects that align with organisational priorities.Key Responsibilities
1. Develop, implement, and maintain quality and safety procedures to meetpliance requirements of external regulators and agencies.
2. Lead and manage projects across the service area, ensuring timely delivery within budget and alignment with strategic objectives.
3. Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensurepliance with legislation and industry standards.
4. Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to maintain safety andpliance.
5. Prepare and present reports on project progress,pliance, and quality performance.
6. Deliver staff training on quality management, safety, and continuous improvement practices.
7. Maintain and develop the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO or industry standards.
