What you’ll do:
* Lead & manage bids and tender submissions for the Transport business, reporting to the Business Development Director.
* Manage and lead a Bid Team based in Warwick and London, planning resources to bid for opportunities.
* Ensure effective and efficient resource utilization to maximize business opportunities.
* Manage the end-to-end process of producing high-quality, successful bids according to telent’s procedures.
* Improve bid quality through best practice approaches.
* Monitor bid costs and seek continuous improvement in bid return on investment.
* Develop relationships with customers through meetings and presentations.
* Oversee Bid team performance, KPIs, and SLAs.
* Lead bid strategies, manage bid material from Go/No Go to submission, and support post-bid activities.
* Plan workload, forecast bids, track costs, and report on wins/losses.
* Conduct bid reviews and maintain the Bid library.
Who you are:
Key requirements:
* Extensive experience managing high-performing Bid Teams and improving bid success rates.
* Experience leading winning bids in public sector markets such as Traffic, Rail, Defence, and Emergency Services.
* Strong project management, organizational, and financial skills.
* Broad understanding of relevant products, technologies, and services.
* APMP or equivalent qualification with demonstrable bid successes.
* Excellent bid writing and review skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Leadership skills with proven success in building high-performing bid teams.
* Ability to develop commercial propositions and influence stakeholders.
* Strong communication skills at all organizational levels.
* Ownership mindset, resilience, and team-oriented approach.
* High emotional intelligence and pride in quality outputs.
