We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award‑winning team as a Care Assistant at Elstree View Care Home in Borehamwood.
Shift details & Hours
Package Description:
* Full‑time: 4 days × 35 hours per week, 07:00 – 14:30 or 14:00 – 21:30.
* Part‑time: 07:00 – 14:30 and 14:00 – 21:30 (available).
* Weekend only: Saturdays and Sundays.
Job Responsibilities
Your focus will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.
* Assisting residents in all personal hygiene care, ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
* Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, signs of infections, and escalating any identified risks in a timely manner.
* Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
* Practicing safe systems of work across the range of tasks.
Required Skills & Qualities
* Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards residents and other people in the home.
* Be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions from other team members.
* Be adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Disclosure & Barring Service Check
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and will require a submission for Disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

* A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
