As part of this growth, the firm is now seeking to recruit an Assistant Accountant or Accounting Technician to support a busy portfolio of SME and personal clients.

The Role
Working closely with senior accountants and client managers, you'll assist in the delivery of high-quality accounting and tax services. You'll gain exposure to a wide range of industries and client types, making this an ideal role for someone looking to build a broad base of experience within practice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
* Support in the preparation of VAT returns, management accounts, and bookkeeping
* Liaise with clients to gather records and resolve queries
* Provide administrative and technical support to senior team members
* Maintain accurate and organised client files
What We're Looking For
* Qualified Accounting Technician (ATI) or part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA), or equivalent experience
* Previous experience in an accountancy practice setting (minimum 1-2 years preferred)
* Familiarity with cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
* Excellent communication and teamworking skills
* Willingness to learn and develop within the role
