Overview
As an Aviation Insurance Broker, you will play a pivotal role in negotiating and placing aviation risks into Lloyd’s and international markets. You will work within a team of placing brokers to deliver exceptional service to clients, ensuring their needs are met with innovative and competitive insurance solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of the London insurance market, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to professional development. How you'll make an impact Placing & Negotiation: Market and place aviation risks into international markets. Negotiate competitive terms, coverage, and premiums to meet client needs. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with (re)insurers and AJG Account Executives.. Documentation: Ensure all documentation is accurate and issued in a timely manner. Account Servicing & Growth: Supporting Account Executives in managing the renewal process for an existing portfolio of clients. Compliance & Technical Input: Ensure all placements comply with regulatory, tax, and global sanctions requirements. Maintain a strong understanding of FCA regulations and compliance standards. About You Industry Experience: Proven experience within the insurance industry (minimum of 2 years), ideally in aviation broking or technical roles. Technical Knowledge: Detailed understanding of aviation insurance products, including General Aviation, Airline, Hull & Liability. Brokerage Skills: Demonstrated ability to create, present, and close complex risks. Communication & Relationship Building: Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to build and nurture relationships with clients, underwriters, and other stakeholders. Compliance Knowledge: Good understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirements. Professional Qualifications: Certification from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) or working towards it is preferred. Proactive Development: A commitment to ongoing training and development to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
