Job responsibilities
* Provide a comprehensive highly specialist service to Gynaecology oncology cancer patients throughout their care pathway including the overarching responsibility for the support of patients living with and beyond cancer. Allocate 7.5 hours specifically for the CSPL lead part of the role which is separate to the Gynaecology CNS role (30 hours).
* Work closely with Patients, Consultants, Macmillan, Colposcopy coordinator, Gynaecology oncology team including CNS teams and relevant MDT members maintaining and developing nurse led services for the management of patients throughout their pathway from referral to on-going treatment and living with and beyond cancer.
CSPL lead element
* Oversee and co-ordinate the quality and effectiveness of the NHS Cervical Screening Programme services provided within the Trust; these services comprise cervical screening, histopathology and colposcopy at GEH.
* Maintain close working relationships between all parts of GEH's cervical screening activities and with NHS England and other stakeholders, ensuring continuity across the programme.
Both roles will ensure patient needs will be identified through a holistic need assessment and co-creating a Care and Support Plan ensuring appropriate referrals for information and psychological support.

Person Specification
Experience and Knowledge
* Extensive clinical experience, significant post registration experience of management/leadership experience
* Good communication skills. Experience of audit within the healthcare setting Specialty knowledge
* Experience of ensuring that operational policies and quality management systems are implemented across the Programme (in conjunction with clinical and operational leads)
* Aware of the guidance for managing NHS screening incidents
Qualification(s) and Professional Training
* Registered Nurse on NMC Register
* Degree in Nursing
* Evidence of working towards specialty related Degree or evidence of continuing academic progression in combination with equivalent Oncology experience
* Relevant MSc or equivalent or higher degree
* Participation in CPD programme
Skills and Abilities
* ENB 998 or equivalent or experience of formal teaching to groups of staff
* Formal leadership and management training, leadership and motivation skills, Excellent communication skills
* Organisational and negotiation skills, ability to respond to changing demands of service
* Expert knowledge and understanding of the NHS Cervical Screening Programme
* Experience of contract specification with NHS England
