Social Worker- Placement Hub
The Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our dynamic Placement Hub team. This role is ideal for someone who believes that children in care deserve the best opportunities to thrive in stable, nurturing environments. Children and young people in care move homes too often, an issue recognised at national and local levels and one which the Placement Hub is playing a critical role to try and address. The Placement Hub identify and match children with suitable foster homes, working at pace and in close collaboration with children’s teams and foster carers.
The Team
You’ll be part of a supportive and experienced team that includes: two dedicated Social Workers (rotating weekly), a team of six Fostering Social Workers, five Referral and Placement Officers, two Team Managers and a Wrap Around Service of a Youth Worker and Family Support Workers providing direct support to children, young people, and carers

Working Arrangements
This role is based at the Pears Centre in Coventry and follows an agile working model, offering a blend of home and office-based work.
What We’re Looking For
You may be responsible for providing supervision to foster carers fulfilling the emergency duty role, although experience of fostering is not necessarily required. You will also provide informal support and guidance to colleagues across the service in how to write placement requests. You will be expected to have conversations with colleagues and foster carers to best match and support children moving to new homes.
