Banking & Finance Solicitor
Salary: £65,000 – £85,000 (DOE) + Bonus
Location: Reading
Experience: 4–7 years' PQE
Are you seeking exposure to a broad range of high-value banking transactions in a collaborative, nationally recognised team? Our client's Banking & Finance group is known for its sharp commercial edge and is the go-to advisor for complex matters, acting for major UK financial institutions, challenger banks, specialist lenders, and a wide range of borrowers across the UK, Europe, and the US.
The Opportunity
* Advise on general banking, acquisition finance, real estate finance, project finance, and asset-based lending
* Draft and negotiate facility agreements, LMA agreements, credit agreements, and related documentation
* Act for major clearing banks, challenger banks, specialist lenders, and borrower clients
* Support private equity, management teams, and debt funders on a range of debt structures (including unitranche and mezzanine/second lien)
* Work on real estate acquisitions, investments, developments, and portfolio management
* Engage in business development activities as part of a rapidly growing national team

What We're Looking For
* Qualified solicitor (England & Wales or equivalent) with 4–7 years' PQE in banking & finance
* Strong technical and negotiation skills
* Experience drafting facility agreements and related banking documentation
* Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence engaging with clients and colleagues at all levels
* Team player with a proactive, "can do" attitude and the ability to work under pressure
* Exceptional attention to detail, discretion, and professionalism
