We are recruiting for a thriving nursery looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, and motivational Senior Nursery Practitioner. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee a nursery where we focus on encouraging children to be children, learning through fun and engaging play. The Senior Nursery Practitioner is a key member of the early years team, responsible for delivering high-quality care and learning opportunities tailored to children's needs and interests.
Duties:
1. Support other personnel within the setting.
2. Lead a team of professionals and ensure good practice at all times.
3. Implement the daily routine in your base room.
4. Plan and organise staffing schedules to maintain adequate staffing levels according to Local Authority guidelines and setting procedures.
5. Promote positive relationships within the early years setting.
6. Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children.
7. Support children's development, learning, and play.
8. Be a key person, building relationships with a small group of children and their families.
9. Support children's social, emotional, and mental well-being, reflecting a Trauma Perceptive Practice approach.
10. Contribute to effective teamwork.
11. Act as a role model, showcasing high-quality practice in individual and group work with children.
12. Taking responsibility alongside the Nursery Management Team for safety, security, and well-being of all children, staff, and visitors.
13. Follow safeguarding procedures in line with Local Authority and Company policies.
14. Understand and promote Small Wonders and your role within the team to provide high levels of care and education.
15. Work with the management team to oversee Health and Safety Policies and Procedures at the nursery.

Requirements:
* Full and relevant Level 3 or higher Early Years qualification
* Experience in an Early Years leadership role
* Experience developing high-performance teams, with effective regulatory compliance, quality improvement, pedagogy, innovation, and service excellence
* Confident decision-maker, supporting change, with an understanding of the relationship between business/commerce and service within a regulated setting
* Strong knowledge of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and legislative requirements for working with children
* Ability to build trust and strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and external partners
