Job Description
3. Manage and maintain a portfolio of clients, ensuring a high level of service
4. Monitor job progress against timelines and billing targets
5. Track and manage key deadlines to ensure timely delivery of work
6. Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies
7. Complete self-assessment tax returns accurately and efficiently
8. Prepare corporation tax computations and submit returns
9. Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients and colleagues
10. Ensure full compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards
11. Utilise accounting software such as IRIS, Sage, Dext, and Xero effectively
12. Deliver work to a consistently high standard within agreed deadlines
13. Respond to client queries promptly and professionally
14. Support and mentor colleagues and trainees, providing technical guidance where needed
15. Carry out additional duties as required, in line with the responsibilities of the role
The Successful Applicant
A successful Tax Specialist should have:
16. A strong background in tax within the professional services industry.
17. Relevant qualifications in tax or accountancy. AAT, ACA, CTA
18. Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
19. Strong communication and confidence in providing advice and recommendations to clients.
20. Attention to detail and accuracy in tax compliance work.
21. A proactive approach to identifying and addressing client needs.
