Location: Cannock
Salary: £40,330 (including 10% shift allowance)
Hours of work: 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 nights off / 07:00 to 19:00 (Days), 19:00 to 07:00 (Nights)
Role Overview
The role holder will be responsible for maximizing plant availability by ensuring timely completion of PPMs, reactive maintenance, engineering tasks, and process improvements. They will promote best practices daily through high engineering standards, compliance, and health & safety adherence.
Core Responsibilities
1. Ensure high operational availability and efficient breakdown repairs by diagnosing faults and conducting effective repairs and improvements promptly.
2. Develop and implement planned preventative maintenance and inspection programs to minimize downtime, record recurrent faults, and develop engineered solutions.
3. Perform minor maintenance operations on plant and equipment.
4. Coordinate with external contractors for specific repairs and maintenance work.
5. Stay updated on health & safety and environmental legislation and company policies to ensure standards and best practices are followed.
Essential Requirements
1. At least 2 years’ experience as an Electrical or Mechanical Fitter, or similar role, preferably in a green waste or water treatment plant.
2. Proven ability to meet and work towards KPIs.
3. Track record of delivering continuous improvements in an operational setting.
4. Experience in implementing new processes and developments.
5. Suitable job titles include Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Electrician, Shift Electrician, Maintenance Technician, Shift Engineer, among others.
