Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role leads the IT Sales Support and IT Sales Operations teams, ensuring efficient processes across sales orders, invoicing, contract administration, and purchase order management.
The role acts as the main escalation point for internal teams, customers, and suppliers, maintaining high service levels, accurate reporting, and strong cross‑department collaboration. The position also supports IT projects, manages renewable products, works closely with Warehouse, NOC, IT Pre-sales, IT Projects, Management Accounting and IT Sales Teams to ensure smooth operational delivery.
The Team Leader drives continuous process improvement, ensures service level agreements are met, and supports the wider business in delivering a professional, dependable, and high-quality customer experience.
Your responsibilities as a Sales Operations Team Leader will be:
* Line Management of the IT Sales Support and IT Sales Operations Teams. Leading, Recruiting and motivating the teams, ensuring adequate training is provided.
* Continuous review of processes in-order to maximise efficiencies in both teams.
* Oversee end to end sales order to sales invoicing processes including periodic/recurring billing routines.
* Manage the purchase order creation, ordering processes and expediting of purchase orders through to successful delivery, for all Managed IT products and services. To include all monthly/quarterly/annual recurring and consumption-based services.
* Ensure managed service contracts are accurately administered and billed including following procedures for the onboarding and offboarding of services.
* Be the point of escalation for internal and external customer and supplier queries.
* Make sure that SLAs and KPIs for both teams are met.
* The monitoring of all team shared mailboxes to ensure queries are dealt with in an appropriate and timely manner.
* Liaise with and build relationships with all Managed IT areas, to include Project Management, Pre-Sales, NOC, Professional Services and Sales Teams
* Work alongside group Supplier Management Teams to manage IT suppliers and partners and to build effective relationships with those partners.
* Assist with the management of internal IT Projects where required.
* Ensure that the renewal of all renewable IT products is managed in an accurate and timely manner, within the team.
* Ensure that all management reporting is completed accurately and distributed in a timely manner. Also action various ad-hoc reports as required by the business.
* Liaise with the Warehouse and Field Engineering teams to ensure that the stock records are accurate.
* Work with Management Accounting to ensure integrity of financial records
About you
* Leadership skills and the ability to manage, coach and motivate a team.
* A knowledge of IT products and services preferably gained in a sales, purchasing or technical environment.
* Demonstrable customer service and financial administrative experience.
* Proactive, positive, and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to perform well under pressure.
* Ability to remain professional, adaptable, and flexible in a demanding environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to build effective relationships.
* IT confident with a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook, especially Excel & Outlook.
* Highly process-driven, with a continuous improvement mindset.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
* High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all work
* Confident in challenging existing processes constructively to drive improvement
