Job Title: Legionella Remedial Engineer
Location: Bedford, Bedfordshire
Salary/Benefits: £26k - £40k + Training & Benefits
We are recruiting for a Legionella Remedial Engineer to cover contracts across the Home Counties. You will be joining a privately-owned Water Hygiene / Legionella specialist, who have recently grown their presence in recent years. Daily duties will include servicing and repairs to various domestic and commercial water systems and components. Applicants must hold existing hands-on experience, in addition to industry-relevant qualifications (i.e. NVQ Level 1/2/3 in Plumbing and / or G3 Unvented ticket). Experience / Qualifications:
* Proven experience working as a Legionella Remedial Engineer
* Working knowledge of ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines
* Will hold the NVQ Level 1 and 2 as a minimum (but will ideally hold the Level 3)
* Qualified with the G3 Unvented ticket
* Flexible to travel in line with company requirements
* Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
The Role:
* Undertaking a variety of ACOP L8 remedial duties, to ensure systems remain functional and compliant
* TMV replacements / installations
* Fitting of POU heaters
* Installing expansion vessels
* Completing refurbishments to existing cold water storage tanks, in addition to installations of new systems
* Servicing and installations of unvented cylinders
* Deadleg removals
* Fault-finding on exisiting systems and making appropriate recommendations for repairs
* Working across a variety of commercial, domestic and public sector client premises
* Producing regular service reports
