Salary: up to £51,802 (pay award pending)

This is an exciting time to join Bury Council; a growing Council and an expanding legal services team, undertaking various development plans across six townships.
Bury Legal Services supports the Council's vision for the borough, and we are seeking a Lawyer to join our team and deliver high-quality legal services to multiple client departments.
What you'll be doing
As a Senior Lawyer, you will lead and manage complex Housing and General legal matters across the Council. You will also contribute to developing and implementing legal compliance policies and procedures.
Experience in handling Housing queries, including litigated proceedings, while managing a personal caseload, will be advantageous.
We promote team development, including apprenticeships, and you will supervise junior team members. We value collaborative working styles.

What you'll need
* Successful track record in a senior legal role
* Extensive knowledge of Housing law, civil litigation, and procedures
* Strong people management skills
* Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
