Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis to join our culinary team. Duties
* Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
* Support senior chefs in managing kitchen operations, including inventory management and stock rotation.
* Participate in menu planning and development, offering creative input where appropriate.
* Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
* Supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
* Engage in continuous learning about culinary techniques and trends to enhance personal skills and contribute to team success.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, ideally within a restaurant setting.
* Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
* Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
* Excellent team management abilities with experience supervising staff.
