Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for a 3-month contract with a reputable food distribution company operating across Edinburgh and surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for drivers looking for stable full-time work, consistent hours, and valuable experience within a busy logistics environment.

🕒 Working Pattern
1. 3-month ongoing contract
2. Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts available
3. Typical start times: 7:00am or 11:00am
4. Full-time hours with overtime opportunities during peak periods
💰 Pay Rates
Monday to Friday
5. £14.50 per hour (PAYE)
6. £16.25 per hour (PAYE Advanced)
Overtime – After 8 Hours
7. £19.32 per hour (PAYE)
8. £21.66 per hour (PAYE Advanced)

9. Minimum 8 hours pay guaranteed per shift
10. Weekly pay
11. Holiday pay accrued (unless PAYE Advanced is selected)
12. Steady full-time hours throughout the contract period
🚚 The Role
13. Delivering food products across local and regional routes
14. Completing multi-drop deliveries in a Class 2 vehicle
15. Working alongside a driver’s mate to assist with loading and unloading
16. Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time
17. Carrying out daily vehicle checks and completing paperwork accurately
18. Providing a professional and customer-focused service
✅ Requirements
19. Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
20. Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
21. Maximum 9 penalty points
(No DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements)
22. Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
23. Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious attitude
