About the Role:
Start Date: September 2025
Pay: £89.38 per day
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Monday - Friday)
Teaching Personnel is currently looking to recruit a hardworking and patient Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School located in the heart of Cardiff. This full-time role involves supporting the teacher and pupils with general classroom assistance and providing 1:1 support to children when needed. There is potential for the successful candidate to secure a permanent contract.
You will become part of a passionate team dedicated to creating a welcoming, positive, and nurturing environment for all pupils.
What We’re Looking For:
While prior experience working with children is an advantage, it’s not essential to be successful in this role! We welcome candidates who:
Demonstrate confidence and strong behaviour management skills in the classroom
Build positive relationships with pupils and staff to maintain a supportive learning environment
Support the teacher by following instructions and taking initiative when appropriate
Have personal or professional experience working with children
Essential Requirements:
Enhanced Child-Only DBS (we can assist with this!)
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
Two professional references
For non-UK residents: Overseas Criminal Clearance (OCC) is required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
