JOB TITLE: NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR - EV
IMMEDIATE MANAGER: Network Operations Manager - EV
JOB PURPOSE
MFG are looking for a Network Administrator to monitor and maintain the health of its rapidly growing Electric Vehicle charging network. MFG is the leading independent forecourt operator with over sites across the UK. Our dual-fuel strategy involves proactively developing its infrastructure in anticipation of the growing demand for electric vehicles (EVs), complementing its existing fuel and retail business to facilitate a seamless transition to a cleaner environment.
As of June, MFG has successfully installed over ultra-rapid chargers and rapid chargers, ranging from 50 kW to kW, across more than sites—the highest number in the independent forecourt sector. Leveraging our ultra-rapid chargers, a vehicle capable of such charging speeds can add miles of range in approximately 10 minutes.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Follow processes to ensure maximum uptime of network
2. Provide Second-level support to first-level agents, assisting with all customer queries
3. Escalate unresolved issues to next level
4. Strong focus on monitoring alerts and alarms to quickly identified potential issues
5. Maintaining internal/external tickets, alerts, and KPIs
6. Monitor Daily Quality of Service analytics/routines
7. Set up all new sites across the required systems, ensuring completeness and accuracy of data
8. Work with internal solutions team on innovation of systems and new requirements/features
9. Supports accounts where required to ensure billing/invoicing is correct
10. Provide cover for Network Operations Manager – EV to produce Reports (Monthly, Quarterly, Annually) from relevant data sources for internal stakeholders
11. Support wider EV charging team as required
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
12. Experience with web technologies
13. Excellent Excel skills
14. Knowledge of Power BI advantageous
15. Good understanding of and experience with managing incidents and supporting systems (following processes and making sure data is complete and accurate)
16. Excellent troubleshooting and diagnosis capabilities
17. Excellent communication skills and teamwork
18. Excellent time management, multitasking, and prioritisation skills
19. Perceptive, fast learner, and able to perform well under pressure.
20. Experience with managing real time incidents in a fast-paced environment.
21. Knowledge of electric vehicle charging and infrastructure (not essential)
