Chalk Hill Group are exclusively recruiting on behalf of a leading construction business, based in Fareham, for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their busy finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business operating across a number of exciting projects - offering real scope for development and career progression within a growing group. There will be an expectation to be in the office five days a week.
You’ll support the finance function and Finance Director by delivering accurate, timely financial information across the two main business units.
Key duties include:
* Balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments & journals
* Bank reconciliations and daily transaction monitoring
* Cashflow forecasting (weekly & monthly)
* Processing and validating supplier invoices (multi-site)
* Sales ledger maintenance and invoicing
* Supplier query resolution
* Supporting audit processes
* Ad hoc finance support as required
You’ll have:
* Strong Excel and IT skills
* Excellent communication and organisational ability
* Confidence working independently and meeting deadlines
* A positive, “can-do” attitude
* AAT qualified or studying ACCA/CIMA
* Experience in construction, property or housebuilding (desirable)
