JOB TITLE: Data Centre Operations Manager
SALARY: £67,023 – £74,470
LOCATION(S): Peterborough
HOURS: Full-time – 35 hours per week
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our Peterborough office site. About this opportunity
As the Data Centre Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for leading all ‘Run the Bank’ activities within our Core Data Centre estate. This includes leadership of the Data Centre Operations shift teams (28 LBG colleagues) as well as a dotted line into specific Data Centre vendors.
This position embraces agile working and is site based a minimum of 40% of the working week. You'll sit on the Data Centre Management team and report directly into the Senior Data Centre Manager. The role requires travel between the LBG core Data Centre sites.
We're currently seeing substantial investment in the future of the Lloyds Banking Group Data Centres and this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the team delivering the new world class Data Centres.
What you’ll be doing
1. Day to day management of our core Data Centres, people and processes. Key areas include site management, access control and incident, problem & change management
2. Work closely with our building engineering teams; ensuring mechanical and electrical workloads are fully understood and any potential impact to our critical IT systems are appropriately risk managed. Review the forward schedule of change and ensure any freezes or restrictions are known and understood
3. Lead Data Centre site tours, providing insight into core operational systems, our IT infrastructure and drive to reducing our carbon footprint
4. Manage relationships with key Data Centre vendors
5. Deputise for the Data Centre Senior Manager, including performing the role of deputy Building Incident Lead
6. Undertake engaging 1:1’s and performance reviews. Create stretching objectives aligned to our core business goals
7. Coach, mentor and develop the Data Centre Operations team, with a sharp focus on wellbeing and fun
8. Working with Group Sourcing, provide consultation for key Data Centre contracts
9. Via a rota; provide out of hours on call support

What we’re looking for?
10. Crucially, you’re a team player. Put yourself in our customer’s shoes and work collaboratively across the various Data Centre teams.
11. Data Centre Operational experience is essential for this role
12. IT literate and able to utilise a range of applications including Microsoft Office 365 and ideally ServiceNow.
13. Proven ability to provide excellent Customer Service with strong written and verbal communication skills.
14. Analytical and practical.
15. You need to hold a UK Driving License with access to a vehicle.
