Children's Senior Support Worker

Hays are excited to be supporting a reputable organisation with their recruitment of Social Care Professionals. This company is looking for a Senior Support Worker to join their new company on a full-time, permanent basis where you will be involved in changing children\'s lives!
Your new role
Within this role, you will be responsible for providing emotional, physical and therapeutic support to children aged 8-18 in a residential setting. You will be supporting them with everyday life and promoting independence and supporting positive development throughout their lives.
You will also be involved in recording events, writing and reading reports and implementing tailored care plans around the children.
This role will involve acting as a positive role model to colleagues and children in order to develop trusting relationships that create recovery and change.
What you\'ll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you must have working experience or knowledge of child-centred models and a minimum of 12 months experience working with children in the social care sector.
You must also have a level 3 qualification in residential childcare. Unfortunately, for this senior post you must already hold this qualification.
You must be able to work flexible shifts in order to support the children at all times. This includes working shift patterns and sleep ins (rota is given in advance)
This role is not offering sponsorships therefore you must be based in the UK with full right to work and a minimum of 6 months working experience within children social care within the UK.
As a Senior you will be responsible for administering medication and for managing staff and reporting it to the service manager.
