Engineers at AtkinsRéalis are at the heart of delivering transformative projects in the UK nuclear industry, reducing carbon emissions whilst achieving future energy security. Your work will span across areas including new nuclear power station design, developing fusion technologies, or implementing new nuclear waste management processes.
AtkinsRéalis is looking to grow our team of process engineers within the Nuclear & Power business. If you have the passion to join some of these exciting projects, then we would love to discuss with you!
We work collaboratively to solve technical challenges across the entire project lifecycle, from concept design to decommissioning. Our activities include production of process engineering deliverables (process sizing calculations, heat & material balances, P&IDs, etc.), process modelling, and safety activities (HAZID/HAZOP studies, DSEAR assessments, etc.).
About the Opportunity:
We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and skills, taking a strengths-based approach to roles to support career development and business success. Ideal qualities include:
* BEng/MEng in Chemical Engineering, working towards Chartership with IChemE.
* Experience in the nuclear industry is useful but not required; transferable skills from other industries are welcome.
* Experience with chemical process simulation software for design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
* Ability to collaborate across teams to deliver technical expertise and solutions.
* Focus on high-quality work and effective communication skills.
* Enthusiasm for contributing to a positive workplace environment.
