Join us as Senior UX Designer at Barclays, where you will bring to life a new Digital Platform capability by transforming and modernising our digital estate to build a market-leading digital offering with customer experience at its core.
This is an exciting and key role where you will adopt a Product Operating Model mindset, truly hear the customer, business and technical challenges and needs, and support the adoption and build of new technology across multiple lines of business, alongside writing code in Java. Your main day-to-day will involve working with lines of business to bring their needs to life through solutions, rapid prototyping, and proof of concepts.
To Be Successful In This Role You Should Have
* Strong experience with Java, BDD testing concepts, and Public Cloud (AWS).
* Expertise with Permissions and Profiles, using policy as code to define permission roles, and familiarity with security paradigms such as ReBAC, ABAC, and RBAC.
* A desire to learn about authorization and authentication technologies such as Policy as Code, IAM, and IAM solutions (PingGateway, PingAM, PingIDM, PingDS).
* A willingness to challenge norms constructively, deploying relationship-building skills, patience, and resilience, and translating technical concepts for both technical and non-technical teams.
You may be assessed on key skills such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology skills, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role can be based out of Glasgow or Knutsford.
Purpose of the role
To create best-in-class user experiences aligned with customer needs, driving optimal commercial and customer outcomes through engaging products and journeys that meet informational, functional, and emotional needs.
Accountabilities
* Design and implement user-centric digital banking products, monitoring their impact through CX metrics.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into compelling user experiences, advocating for user-centered design principles.
* Develop prototypes and wireframes, iterating based on feedback and technical/business changes.
* Assess technical feasibility, legal compliance, and risks, ensuring governance and design assurance.
* Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions and enhance user experience and outcomes.
* Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and tools, proactively seeking innovation opportunities.
