Role and Responsibilities

Role Overview:

As a Tablet Product Manager Lead, you will lead a team of product managers to create, coordinate and deliver our category strategy & targets through the product plans across all sales channels, including Direct to Consumer, Retail, Pureplayers, Operator and B2B.

Through a Category Management approach, you will need to implement the marketing and sales performance of the Tablet category. This will mean the team will be responsible for the 5Ps – Performance, Product, Place, Pricing, and Promotion, taking end-to-end responsibility for the category's strategy, execution, and outcomes.

Create a world class product management team, coaching, mentoring and developing the team into an efficient, empowered organisation with clearly defined roles, cadence and structures that becomes greater than the sum of its parts

Your key responsibilities

Key Objectives

This position requires strong collaboration across functions within MX.

1. Deeply understand, interpret and champion Samsung Tablet products its consumers, channels and competitors within SEUK MX, ETO, Suwon and sales channels
2. Align, influence, gain consensus and approval with the Head of Category and Business Strategy Directors on the components of the Category & Product plans
3. Ensure the plan created by the team is within the key important metrics of Net Sales Revenue, Operating Profit and Market Share, defined by Head of Division
4. See opportunities, and present these to the Head of Category for initial validation and testing.
5. Drive more integrated collaboration with wider MX partners to ensure alignment and consensus of the product plans with a clear feedback loop. Work with Head of Category to identify areas of improvement, risks and solutions to ensure the plan is delivered
6. Develop & improve the approach, structures, analysis, cadence, tools and processes required to plan, align, communicate and implement the products plans and financial ambitions with SEUK MX, ETO and Suwon
7. Support the quarterly commercial planning process collaborating cross functionally to ensure all functions are contributing the necessary input
8. Drive the planning and execution of new product launches, ensuring impactful go-to-market strategies and exceptional customer experiences.
9. Head and approve the sell-out (AP2) forecasting for all Tablet products at SKU level (customer, colour, memory variant) and align with demand planning & sales operations on the equivalent sell-in that this is generating to ensure SEUK MX achieves its sell-in revenue target
10. Lead the response to changes in the market and actual performance to update, evolve and implement new activities and actions to achieve SEUK MX critical metrics and objectives within any given period
11. Fundamentally be accountable for the SEUK MX Tablet product plans and its implementation

12. Net Sales Revenue (Year on Year, Management Plan, Europe)
13. Operating Profit (Year on Year, Management Plan, Europe)
14. Market Share (Year on Year, Europe, Competition)
15. Successful execution of product launches, measured by sales performance and customer reception
16. Pricing competitiveness – Competitive Index vs Retention Index
17. Sell Out (AP2) forecasting accuracy
18. Customer satisfaction and retention rates

What we need for this role

19. To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
20. Experience: Shown experience in category management, product marketing, or sales leadership roles, preferably in technology or consumer electronics.
21. 5Ps Expertise: Demonstrated success in managing Performance, Product, Place, Pricing, and Promotion to drive category growth.
22. Strategic Vision: Proven ability to design and implement strategies that achieve both short-term and long-term goals in competitive markets.
23. Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical abilities to interpret market trends, forecast demand, and inform strategic decisions.
24. Relationship Management: Experience partnering with major partners to deliver joint business plans and growth strategies.
25. Customer-Centric Approach: A deep understanding of customer needs and behaviours, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
26. Collaborative Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with senior collaborators.
27. Communication Excellence: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to articulate vision, inspire teams, and influence partners.
