We are seeking a dynamic andmercially focused Financial Controller to join a fast-growing, profitable Professional Services business. This is a pivotal leadership role, reporting directly to the Finance Director, with responsibility for managing the existing finance team and providing meaningful management accounts and analysis. The successful candidate will ensure robust financial management andpliance while supporting ambitious growth plans. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of thepany’s transformation journey.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee all financial operations, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and planning.
2. Ensurepliance with statutory regulations, tax filings, and audits.
3. Prepare and file VAT returns accurately and on time.
4. Manage and reconcile bank accounts and all payment ledgers.
5. Implement strong internal controls and safeguardpany assets.
6. Monitor cash flow and optimise capital structure.
7. Provide strategic financial insights to the leadership team, supportingmercial decisions.
8. Lead financial analysis for new projects and investments.
9. Mentor and develop the finance team to enhance capability and performance.
About You
10. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
11. Proven experience as a Finance Manager or Financial Controller
12. Strong knowledge of VAT regulations, ledger reconciliation, and financialpliance.
13. Previous experience in Professional Services such as Insurance, Legal, Asset Finance, Lending.
14. Excellent leadership,munication, and organisational skills.
15. Hands-on, collaborative approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
