About the role
We are looking to expand our Technical Services team with a skilled and enthusiastic Engineering Manager to be based in our Head Office in Swindon, Wiltshire.
The role will require you to provide engineering support to the nominated HOCHTIEF Sectors / Projects, serving both the work winning and project delivery teams with the following key objectives.
You will be responsible for leading the management of engineering function in the sector / region and for vetting pre-qualifications and tenders in allotted sectors for technical risk, to make it known to the bid team and Director and ensure that appropriate action is taken to mitigate the risk.
The role will allow you to incorporate innovative alternative designs, engineering methods and the latest technology into sector bids / projects offering the best possible value engineering solutions.
You will ensure that projects deliver the contracted engineering requirements using the highest levels of technical expertise, efficiency and quality.
About you
For this role, it is essential that you are a Chartered Engineer or similar which will be approved by the Head of Technical Services.
You will have both substantial construction and design experience and the ability to deputise for the Project Manager if required.
