A welcoming primary school in Lewisham is seeking a committed and experienced General Teaching Assistant to support between their Year 1 class from Monday 23rd February 2026 until the end of the academic year (July 2026).

About the Role
* Supporting teaching and learning in a Year 1
* Hours: 8.30am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday
* Working closely with the class teacher to enhance learning, deliver small-group and 1:1 support, and assist with classroom routines
* Contributing to pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
* Providing adaptable support across core subjects where needed
* Supported throughout the placement by Carly Walters, Remedy Recruitment Consultant with over 9 years' experience in the education recruitment sector.

The school is seeking a confident, proactive, and experienced Teaching Assistant who will be a true asset to both the teacher and the class.
Essential qualities include:
* Previous experience working as a TA in a primary setting
* Strong understanding of KS1 learning and classroom expectations
* Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with pupils
* A calm, friendly, and professional approach
* Reliability, excellent communication, and strong teamwork skills
