Overview
Maintenance Engineer: My client, a successful manufacturing business is recruiting an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking for the opportunity to join a growing company who values and rewards employee contribution. With a strong Mechanical/Electrical background you will be capable of resolving planned and unplanned maintenance tasks to drive efficiency and minimise downtime. This role has no shifts.
Responsibilities
* Carry out routine and unplanned maintenance work and respond to equipment faults;
* Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and machinery and arrange procurement Of fixtures, fittings and components as required;
* Conduct quality inspections on jobs;
* Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment;
* Monitor and control maintenance costs;
* Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs;
* Work closely with Senior Management to improve health and safety policies and procedures;
* Work as part of a team to ensure the continuous flow of production and operations;
Qualifications
* A Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Time served in either discipline;
* A minimum of 3 years hands on experience as a Maintenance Engineer working with either Electrical, Mechanical and Pneumatics machinery
* Able to read electrical drawings
* Knowledge of CNC, PC and PLC controlled systems;
* Capable of working on own initiative and unsupervised with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks;
* Excellent team player who is flexible to work additional hours to meet the needs of the business
