Salary: Up to £39,000 per annum depending on experience, plus standby rota payments & overtime potential increasing earnings by up to £8,000-£10,000 per year upon training completion

About the Role:
We are recruiting an experienced Mechanical and Electrical Technician at Hampton Water Treatment Works. You will ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently through proactive and reactive maintenance, including inspection, fault diagnosis, testing, installation, modification, and repair of electrical and mechanical plant equipment.
Within the maintenance team, you will follow planned maintenance schedules, participate in minor installation projects, electrical fault finding, and emergency repairs to keep the plant operational year-round.
Responsibilities:
* Perform scheduled maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment to reduce plant breakdowns
* Investigate failures and execute repairs efficiently to minimize process interruptions
* Provide technical advice and support, including training for technical trainees
* Work on equipment such as pumps, control gear, motors, VSDs, valves, sensors, PLCs, and chemical handling systems
* Participate in standby rota following training
Location & Working Pattern:
Base at Hampton - TW12 2ES. 38 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 3:36 pm, with standby and overtime opportunities.
Requirements:
* Time-served apprenticeship with experience in electrical systems in a multi-skilled capacity
* Qualifications: ONC/HNC in engineering, NVQ, or C&G Level 3 in mechanical engineering, with mechanical NVQ2/3
* Physical fitness for confined spaces and safety training completion
* Valid driving license; tools and vehicle provided
