I'm currently working with a growing, forward-thinking Civil & Structural Engineering consultancy based in Stoke-on-Trent, who are looking to bring in a capable and ambitious Civil Engineer – ideally someone with 2+ years’ experience.
This is a brilliant opportunity to take ownership of projects and play a key role in the development of a civils team within a company that values innovation, collaboration, and autonomy.
The Role
As Civil Engineer / Senior Civil Engineer, you’ll be working across a variety of infrastructure and development schemes – taking projects from planning through to construction. This includes:
Designing drainage networks to S104 standards and liaising with local water authorities
Preparing SUDS strategies and Flood Risk Assessments
Designing residential roads to S38 and S278 standards
Modelling drainage systems using MicroDrainage or similar
Overseeing production and QA of technical drawings and engineering documentation
Liaising with planners, clients, and local authorities
Mentoring junior team members (if senior level)
This role offers genuine progression, with the chance to shape how the civils function grows within the consultancy.
What They're Looking For
HNC, BEng or similar in Civil Engineering
Strong technical understanding of UK drainage and highways design standards
Proficiency in MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
Previous consultancy experience (ideally in residential or commercial developments)
Full UK Driving Licence
Good communicator and confident engaging with clients and authorities
Why This Role?
