Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is looking for a Data Exploitation Engineer to support new business opportunities and existing product platforms, mainly fixed and rotor wing aircraft. Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is a subsidiary of the Boeing Company and currently employs over 2,100 people in the UK. We are responsible for delivering several exciting contracts to our UK defence customers including new capabilities like the E-7 AEW&C and the P-8A Maritime Patrol Aircraft, Autonomous Systems, C4ISR Services, Support for the Chinook & Apache Fleets, Logistic Information Services and Training Services and are very much in a growth phase. The engineering function operates in a matrix organisation and this role will be in the Product Support Engineering Department, which includes the following technical areas:

Responsibilities
* Utilise aircraft fleet data to generate actionable insights that support decision-making and enhance operational performance
* Work closely with engineering teams and senior stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency across all projects
* Set, track, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for DE activities to measure progress and success
* Drive continuous improvement in data exploitation processes and methodologies to optimise efficiency and effectiveness
Apart from technical work, there is potential to support company initiatives such as quality improvements, safety culture, Diversity and Inclusion, mentoring and coaching, STEM outreach, and other focus projects to support growth of the company and its employees.
Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience
* Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain UK SC security clearance.
* Data Proficiency: Experienced in working with data and software, with advanced skills in data analysis, modelling, and calculations.
* Technical Proficiency: Proficient in data visualisation tools such as Tableau and Power BI, including the creation of dashboards.
* Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Desirable Skills, Qualifications and Experience
* Data-Driven Environment: Comfortable working in a data-centric environment, using analytics to guide decision-making.
* Aircraft Maintenance Experience: Prior experience in aircraft maintenance.
* Defence Background: A background in the defence industry.
* Effective Communicator: Strong communicator with a proactive, solution-focused attitude, committed to delivering high-quality outcomes.
* Interdisciplinary Knowledge: Familiarity with how Data Exploitation integrates with R&M, Design, Dependability, Safety, ILS, and Asset Management.
* Commitment to Quality: Proven ability to consistently deliver high-quality results.

This role is onsite position with flexible working hours.
