A leading manufacturer of a range of complex electronic applications for the military and aerospace industries are searching for a Production Manager to join their dynamic team based in Whitstable, Kent.
Our client is looking for a proactive Manufacturing Engineer to join a growing and forward‑thinking manufacturing team. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, improving production processes, and driving innovation through automation.
Responsibilities (Manufacturing Engineer, Whitstable)
* Support NPI Projects with robust process design and technical input.
* Assist in risk analysis activities such as DFMEA and PFMEA.
* Identify and implement process and equipment solutions, including supporting automation integration (robotics, PLC/HMI, vision systems, conveyors, assembly/test automation).
* Design and validate tooling, fixtures and workstations.
* Conduct prototype and pre‑production builds.
* Support cost‑benefit and ROI assessments for automation projects and define key performance metrics.
* Assist in PPAP activities.
* Support quality improvements and root cause investigations using tools such as 8D, 5 whys and Ishikawa.
Requirements (Manufacturing Engineer, Whitstable)
* BEng in Mechanical Engineering or related scientific discipline.
* Experience using 3D CAD (preferably Creo).
