We are currently recruiting 2 Support Assistants to join our team in Wickford. The role offers up to 37.5 hours per week, and we are open to both part-time and full-time applicants.

The team provides a supported living care service supporting 4 individuals with learning disabilities. * Maintaining records of support provided and contributing to support planning and reviews.
* Upholding the core values of Respect, One Estuary, Accountability, and Responsibility.
* Participating in delivering a caring, safe, and responsive 24-hour service.
* Developing and maintaining effective professional relationships with residents, families, friends, and advocates.
* Taking shift-leading responsibilities as per the rota.
* Participating in team meetings, supervisions, and other relevant meetings.
* Completing all mandatory training within specified timeframes.

Requirements:

* Understanding and promoting the needs, rights, equality, and diversity of people with disabilities.
* Knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation, and where to find this information.
* Effective communication skills, both oral and written, including electronic communication.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to administer and reconcile medication.
* Understanding of Learning Disabilities is desirable.

Full training will be provided. Even those new to the sector can succeed after a successful interview, with support to complete the Care Certificate during probation.

Our services require 24-hour staffing, including working bank holidays and weekends. In return, we offer an excellent benefits package, including a cash health plan, 31 days holiday (including bank holidays), birthday leave, and a competitive pension scheme.

If you are committed to making a difference and can work effectively within a team to deliver excellent care, this could be the role for you.

The application deadline is 1st July, with interviews scheduled for the following week. If you have the right attitude and skills, apply today!
