Coba IT is resourcing on behalf of a local authority seeking a highly organised, customer-focused Assistant Technical Support Officer to join their Planning Services team. The Role:
You’ll be part of the Technical Support team—the engine room behind the Planning Service—ensuring smooth operations, high-quality communication, and efficient technical support for internal teams, councillors, and the public.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide consistent, high-quality support to customers, stakeholders, and internal teams
* Register and validate planning applications
* Support planning appeals and assist with data handling in line with GDPR
* Process payments and maintain accurate records
* Contribute to process reviews, system updates, and performance monitoring
* Assist the Planning Policy team during consultation periods
* Support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects
