As a Principal Environmental Consultant, you'll apply your expertise to solve complex challenges, influence national energy security, and help shape sustainable solutions for the future. This is a strategic role where your decisions matter—driving innovation and supporting our rapid growth agenda. Day-to-day, you will
* Lead the development and implementation of integrated waste management strategies.
* Resolve technical issues and compile detailed reports and presentations.
* Provide technical direction and mentor team members.
* Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
* Drive consultancy growth in line with Cavendish Nuclear's strategy.
This is a permanent position, working 37 hours per week, based in Warrington, Cheshire. Hybrid working patterns are available.
Required Experience & Skills
* Extensive experience in the nuclear industry with applied knowledge across areas such as decommissioning, site restoration, spent fuel management, and environmental planning.
* Proven ability to develop waste management strategies and liaise with regulators and clients.
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
* Consultancy experience and familiarity with industry best practice.
Qualifications
* Degree in Engineering or Science.
* Chartered or Incorporated Engineer or Scientist status (essential).
* Additional certifications in waste management or nuclear safety (advantageous).
Security Clearance
Successful candidates must be able to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
