The Doncaster Deaf Trust are seeking to appoint an experienced, highly motivated, and enthusiastic approved electrician.This exciting opportunity to join our expanding facilities and maintenance team would suit a qualified, experienced electrician who can adapt to working within a full-time specialist educational establishment. The Trust is open 52 weeks per year and operates a Nursery, School for the Deaf, Communication Specialist College, Childrens Care Home for the Deaf and an Adult Employability Training Provider.
Job Purpose
To be responsible for the static site maintenance of all electrical installations, repairs and inspections across all areas of the Doncaster Deaf Trust and associated facilities.
The essential core responsibilities include but are not limited to: adhering to Health and Safety Regulations; communicating effectively with customers; diagnosing and rectifying problems; completion of relevant reports; completion of project work aligned to the Trust estates roadmap.
The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate at least 2 years’ experience post qualification working as an Electrician, previous experience of working in a similar role on an Educational site would be an advantage.
The applicant needs to be up to date with current IET BS7671 Wiring Regulations and have passed the City & Guilds 2382-22 (18th Edition) and hold or be willing to work towards anAward in the Initial Verification and Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations (Formerly known as City & Guilds 2394/5).
